Whatever you want to do you can find it near Cedars of Edina! Cedars is conveniently located between 494, 100, 62 Crosstown and 35W. Our property is ten to twenty minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, the Mall of America and both Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Cedars of Edina is within easy walking distance of Byerly's Grocery Store, Macy's, Caribou Coffee, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Southdale Mall and AMC 16 Cinemas, The Galleria, Barnes and Noble, CorePower Yoga, Centennial Lakes Park and dozens of restaurants, stores and more.
Edina is an A-rated suburb Southwest of Minneapolis and is known for its excellent shopping, parks and schools. Across the street from Cedars of Edina, which itself is located on 22 wooded acres of beautifully landscaped, matured grounds, is Centennial Lakes Park. Centennial Lakes Park features more than a mile and a half of paved pathways meandering around a ten-acre lake and interspersed with formal and informal seating areas, swinging benches, fountains and a pavilion for musical performances. Rent a boat in the summer, ice skate in the winter or play miniature golf on a warm fall evening. There are over 30 parks in Edina and golf courses anchor each corner of Edina, including the 9-hole Fred Richards Golf Course located less than a half mile from Cedars of Edina.
GROCERIES
You can shop for groceries across the street at Byerly's, Whole Foods or the Super Target, or head over to Cub Foods on York, across from Southdale or Trader Joe's at 494 and FRance Ave. Every Thursday during the summer, you can walk over to the local Farmer's Market at Centennial Lakes from 3-7pm and stock up on locally grown organic vegetables, fruit and flowers for your apartment.

Changs, McCormick and Schmick's (great happy hour drinks and appetizers!), Chipotle, Ciao Bella, Big Bowl, Crave, Tavern on France, Potbelly, Leann Chin, Five Guys, Good Earth, Panera Bread, Kozy's, Bruegger's Bagels, Jamba Juice, Ambrosia, Caribou Coffee, Starbucks, QCumber's, China Wok, Fuddrucker's, Chuck E.Cheese, Macaroni Grill, The Original Pancake House, Noodles & Company, Subway, McDonald's, Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Chili's, TGIF's, Parma, Kincaid's, The Chop House and more. Pinstripes Inc., a Chicago restaurant concept that features bowling and bocce ball, is moving forward with its plans to occupy a two-story, 32,000-square-foot space at the Centennial Shops, a France Avenue shopping center near the Galleria and Southdale Center, across France Avenue from Cedars of Edina. The Italian-American bistro will feature table seating for about 150 people, along with a 16-lane bowling alley and six bocce ball courts. Pinstripes plans to open its Edina location before the end of 2010.

Club Cedars has a brand new split level fitness center featuring a 10 station weight training circuit and 11 cardio machines. Our other fitness amenities include an indoor and outdoor pool and two tennis courts. Across the street Centennial Lakes Park has running and walking trails, or if you're looking for group fitness classes, CorePower Yoga, the YMCA and LA Fitness are all within blocks of us and Lifetime Fitness is just over a mile away.

Shopping for clothes is a breeze living across the street from Edina's shopping district and two miles from 50th and France. Needing furniture or accent items for your apartment? Furniture stores abound within blocks of Cedars, including Macy's Home Store, West Elm, The Container Store, HomeGoods and Storables across the street, Room and Board next door, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Gabbert's and Restoration Hardware at the Galleria, Pier 1 Imports at 66th and York, the HOM Store in Bloomington and IKEA across from the Mall of America. Target has some great home décor as well!
FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT
Looking for ways to entertain children? The Edina Public Library and the YMCA are two blocks away on York Avenue and both offer abundant programs and hours of entertainment for children. You can create a craft day at home with supplies from Blick Art Supplies across the street. Centennial Lakes Park offers paddle boating and miniature golf in the summer and ice skating in the winter. Chuck-E-Cheese offers games, entertainment and food for kids and is open year round at Centennial Lakes. The Edina Aquatic Center on Valley View Road has a fantastic outdoor water park for kids featuring a separate zero-depth-entry children's wading pool with water play equipment. Spend an entire day riding rollercoasters, ferris wheels and bumper cars at the Nickelodeon Theme Park in the Mall of America. Visit the world class Aquarium at the Mall of America and then take the kids to the World's Largest Indoor Water Park right next door. The Minnesota Children's Museum, the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Minnesota Zoo, Como Zoo and the Children's Theatre Company are all great ways to spend a day with children.
SCHOOLS
The Edina Public School District has received several national awards and is rated among the top-75 public school districts in the country. Edina has the largest High School Advanced Placement (AP) program in the Midwest. Ninety percent of Edina graduates go on to enroll in post-secondary education.
50th & FRANCE
Two short miles down France Avenue at 50th and France (Cedars is in the 73rd block) is a great independent film theatre, the Edina Landmark Theatre, fabulous kitchen supplies at Sur La Table and Crocus Hill Cooks, more shopping at Chico's, Anthropologie, Fringe, The Cos Bar, Monique Lhuillier and more restaurants like Salut, the Edina Grill, Great Wall Chinese, Breadsmith and D'Amico Cucina. The renowned James Beard award-winning local chef Tim McKee from La Belle Vie, Solera and Barrio is opening a highly anticipated new restaurant on 50th and France this Fall.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Cedars of Edina has a bus stop conveniently located right outside Club Cedars on Gallagher Drive. Take the 587 express bus straight Downtown Minneapolis or the 6 U of M line to Uptown, Downtown, The University of Minnesota or to transfer onto any other line.
MEDICAL AND OTHER EMERGENCIES
In case of emergency we are two minutes from Fairview/Southdale Medical Center, the Edina Police Station and the Edina Fire Station.
