Edina offers several neighborhoods with different combinations of parks, shopping, dining, and everyday conveniences. Cedars of Edina is located at 7340 Gallagher Drive in the Centennial Lakes and Greater Southdale area. Here are four areas to explore when deciding where to rent in Edina.

Centennial Lakes and Greater Southdale

This area brings together residential communities, offices, shopping, and green space around Centennial Lakes Park. Southdale Center, Galleria Edina, and the Edina Promenade offer plenty to do nearby. Cedars of Edina adds a nature-filled setting within this part of the city, with walking paths and access to the Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail.

Edinborough

Edinborough is an established Edina neighborhood with a mix of residential buildings and nearby workplaces. Edinborough Park is a local destination for indoor recreation, especially when the weather turns cold. The surrounding streets also connect residents with the broader Greater Southdale district.

50th and France

The 50th and France neighborhood centers on a walkable shopping and dining district shared by Edina and Minneapolis. Restaurants, boutiques, personal services, and local businesses line the surrounding blocks. It offers a different pace from the larger retail centers in the southern part of Edina.

Grandview

Grandview sits near Highway 100 and brings together established neighborhoods with commercial and service destinations. Its business district provides access to shops and everyday services, while nearby residential streets offer another side of Edina living. It is worth comparing if convenient road connections are high on your list.

Edina pairs established residential neighborhoods with destination shopping, city parks, and access to the Minneapolis area. Its mix of outdoor spaces and everyday conveniences gives residents options throughout the year.

Parks, Trails, and Natural Spaces

Centennial Lakes Park is known for its walking paths, landscaped water features, and seasonal activities. The Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail links Edina to a larger network of biking and walking routes. At Cedars of Edina, mature trees, ponds, waterfalls, and landscaped grounds make nature part of the community itself.

Shopping and Dining Districts

Southdale Center and Galleria Edina bring major shopping destinations into the Greater Southdale area. The 50th and France district adds smaller storefronts, restaurants, and local services. Together, these areas give residents choices for both everyday errands and an afternoon out.

Recreation Across the Seasons

Warm-weather outings can include paddleboats and strolls at Centennial Lakes Park, a round at Braemar Golf Course, or time at the Edina Aquatic Center. In colder months, Braemar Arena and Edinborough Park offer indoor activities. Centennial Lakes also has a tradition of outdoor skating when conditions allow.

Connections Across the Twin Cities

Edina sits southwest of Minneapolis, with routes such as Highway 62, Highway 100, and Interstate 494 serving the area. Metro Transit bus service provides another transportation option.
